Brow lamination: how long it lasts and how to care for it

Brows stay neat for 4–6 weeks without gel or styling. What happens during the procedure, who it suits and how to make the effect last.

Lamination is long-lasting brow styling. Special formulas make the hairs pliable, and the master sets them in the right direction and fixes them. Brows look fuller and more even, and you don’t need to style them with gel in the morning. With tinting they’re also more defined.

Who it suits

– unruly hairs that stick out in different directions;
– brows look sparse and you want them to look fuller;
– no time for daily styling;
– you want groomed brows without permanent make-up.

How the procedure goes

The master cleans the brows, applies the formulas one by one and sets the hairs, then tints them if you like and finishes with care. If needed, the shape is tidied with wax and tweezers. The procedure takes about 1 h 45 min in a private room.

How long it lasts

Usually 4–6 weeks. It depends on the hair structure, how often you wash with active products and how you care for the brows in the first few days. It makes sense to repeat the procedure once the effect has worn off — no more often than that.

Aftercare

– for the first 24 hours don’t wet your brows, rub them or put make-up on them;
– don’t sleep face down in the pillow the first night;
– skip the bathhouse, sauna and peels on the brow area for a couple of days;
– after that, brush your brows in the morning and apply oil or a care serum in the evening.

Contraindications

Lamination isn’t done with an allergy to the formula ingredients, skin inflammation in the brow area or recent plastic surgery on the eyelids and brows.

FAQ

How often can I have brow lamination?

Once the effect has worn off — usually every 4–6 weeks. There’s no need to do it more often: the hairs need time to renew.

Does lamination work for sparse brows?

Yes, the set hairs cover gaps and the brows look fuller. If there are very few hairs, the master will honestly say what to expect and may suggest tinting.

Can I have brows and lashes done in one visit?

Yes. Mention it when booking and we’ll allow time. Brows and lashes can also be done at the same time as a manicure and pedicure, with 4 or 6 hands.
