Care without colour: nails look natural and shiny. How a Japanese manicure differs from a regular one and when people choose it.
A Japanese manicure is a care treatment for the nails and the skin of the hands. There’s no colour coating: the nail plate is polished and enriched with nourishing products using the Japanese technique, and the cuticle and skin are treated gently. As a result the nails look groomed and naturally shiny, as if covered with clear polish.
A regular manicure is about cleanliness and shape: the master removes the cuticle, evens out the edge and most often prepares the nails for coating. A Japanese one is about the condition of the nail itself: after the treatment the plate isn’t covered with gel polish but polished and nourished. Nails stay free, and there’s no grown-out strip at the cuticle.
– those who want a break from gel polish between coatings;
– for thin, peeling and brittle nails;
– when coating isn’t allowed or you don’t want it: work, sport, a reaction to gel polish;
– men who want a neat but completely natural look.

If there’s gel polish on the nails, it’s gently removed first. Then the master treats the cuticle and shapes the nails, and after that comes the Japanese part: polishing the plate and rubbing nourishing products into the nail. It finishes with care for the skin of the hands. The whole thing takes about an hour and a half.
The shine and groomed look usually last one to two weeks, depending on how much your hands are in contact with water and cleaning products. The care effect builds up: with regular treatments nails look healthier and cope better with everyday load.
